Child Care Programs

Choosing a child care provider is an important decision. You want to know that your child is in a safe, nurturing environment. You want your children to be happy and to learn as they grow. You want your infant to receive the same tender care that you give them at home, and you want your preschooler to take part in fun educational activities so they’re ready when it’s time to start school.

We understand your concerns. Since 1968 Child Care Associates has been providing a basic necessity for many Texas families -- quality child care. Today, we operate 38 child care centers in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

Our centers are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and serve pre-school aged children three to five years. Plus, 11 centers are specially equipped to care for infants and toddlers.

A typical day at one of our centers starts with a nutritious breakfast, followed by tooth brushing. Our approach to child development and care includes a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack as well as learning about good personal hygiene, such as hand washing and brushing teeth.

The rest of the morning is spent in doing fun, learning activities. Each classroom follows a set schedule, where the children quickly learn. The teacher uses a PDA to track your child’s progress and will discuss it with you regularly.

Whether it’s singing a rhyming song or reading a story in a group or individually playing word games on the computer, each activity is designed so your child learns by having fun. Each classroom is arranged into several different learning centers, and the children are free to spend time in the learning center of their choice.

Weather permitting, each class takes part in outdoor activities daily. Our playgrounds feature safe, modern, age-appropriate equipment, sandboxes, and trike trails. All designed to help build strong muscles and refine motor skills.

After a healthy lunch, prepared by our onsite cook, the children take a nap or have quiet time. The children need this short break to recharge their batteries because snack time is followed by the afternoon learning activities and another visit to the playground.

We use curriculum approved by the Texas Education Agency. The curricula is aligned with the local ISD and is used for a smooth transition into the local public school.

Child Care Associates was one of just a few agencies state-wide that were awarded grants to improve school readiness. These grants were the Texas Early Education Model and Early Reading First. Both of these grants focused on developing the most effective early learning environment possible in order to help our children attain school readiness.

Today, our early education model is being rolled out throughout the state.

Our children are the winners. By mastering the skills needed to sound out and pronounce words and recognize letters, they are making tremendous strides towards school readiness.

Parents are welcome at our centers any time and are encouraged to volunteer at their child’s center and to take part in center activities. We also offer parenting classes throughout the year on different topics of interest to parents of young children.

In addition to parent fees, we receive funds from the federal, state and local government and the United Way. These varied funding streams allow us to offer you, your child and your family access to a wide variety of educational, social, health and nutritional activities at minimal cost.

It also allows us to offer several child care options at our centers. From reasonably priced child care, to Head Start, to subsidized child care through CCMS, all of these options are available at each center. No matter which program you choose, your child and family will receive the same comprehensive educational experience.
