Job Description :
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience): Associates Degree or higher in Social Work or a closely related field with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a social services field. Prior experience managing a caseload and working with limited income children and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with families to identify needs, locate and refer services and solutions. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize documents in a comprehensive manner. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent organizational and research skills. Computer proficiency is required. Access to reliable transportation. Job Responsibilities: Manage designated caseload as assigned. Be knowledgeable about demographics of the area to target recruitment efforts. Ensure that funded levels of enrollment are met and maintained for all Child Care Associates’ child development programs. Assure that Head Start Performance Standards are met with respect to eligibility, enrollment and attendance. Maintain community relationships and involvement in Tarrant County. Establish mutually respectful partnerships with families through needs assessments, and verbal/written communication. Assist families by locating and referring helpful services and solutions from available community resources. Facilitate the referral process and maintain ongoing follow-up with families to assure that identified needs are met. Responsible for Child Plus entry of family data in a timely manner. Provide immediate assistance to families in crisis. Maintain accurate, detailed records that document each family’s progress. Support and promote family involvement in all Head Start content area services. Other related duties as assigned.
